Nau mai, haere mai ki Te Kākano! Welcome to Te Kākano class at Frankley School!
If your 5 year old is just starting, then this is the place to find out what you can expect to happen as they transition to school life. Be sure to read through the A – Z Information Booklet, our Te Kākano Booklet, and learn more about our Whākatau (official welcome).
For information on enrolling with Frankley, please visit the Enrol page.
With everything you need to know to get started at school, the information in this booklet is designed to assist you with the transition of your child into the Frankley Whānau.

All new entrants start in Te Kākano – one of our innovative learning hubs. Te Kākano hub is made up of 3 interconnected rooms where children and teachers can move through the spaces forming small groups for guided learning.
Akoranga
We promote a playful approach to learning. This enables our tamariki to become creative, innovative and critical thinkers. We provide strong foundation learning in literacy and numeracy, and our children’s progress is tracked closely by our teachers and Leadership team.
